Options available for in-person or virtual access, family accommodations

Whether you’ve registered to attend in person or virtually, you’ll have access to cutting-edge research and education at the American Association for Cancer Research Annual Meeting 2024. The focal point of the cancer research community, the Annual Meeting is a gathering place where everyone from scientists to survivors share the latest advances in cancer science and treatment.

If you’re attending the 115th Annual Meeting in person, you will have the opportunity to enjoy not just the interaction with fellow attendees but also the beauty of San Diego, California, which offers plenty of sunshine and waterfront views at the San Diego Convention Center.

Both in-person and virtual registration packages include access to live and on-demand sessions through July 10, as well as Q&A, networking, and CME/MOC credits. Virtual attendees will have access to networking opportunities on the virtual meeting platform, and they will be able to submit questions to speakers via the platform.

In-person and virtual admission to more than 65 educational sessions and methods workshops on Friday and Saturday, April 5 and 6, requires the separate purchase of an AACR Educational Program Pass. The pass is $50 for members and $95 for nonmembers. These educational sessions and workshops will also be available on demand through July 10.

Registered participants may add the Educational Program Pass or change their registration selection from the in-person to the virtual meeting without penalties or change fees. All modifications to registration should be completed by Friday, April 5.

In-person registration also includes:

  • Daily coffee breaks and light refreshments in the Exhibit Hall;
  • An AACR Annual Meeting 2024 bag;
  • A Certificate of Attendance;
  • Complimentary shuttle service between hotels and the convention center; and
  • Admission to the poster hall and live poster presentations (not available to virtual attendees).

Onsite registration will be available daily during the Annual Meeting starting on Friday, April 5, at the San Diego Convention Center. Hours are:

  • Friday, April 5: 12-6 p.m.
  • Saturday, April 6: 7 a.m.-6 p.m.
  • Sunday, April 7: 7 a.m.-6 p.m.
  • Monday, April 8: 7 a.m.-6 p.m.
  • Tuesday, April 9: 7 a.m.-6 p.m.
  • Wednesday, April 10: 7 a.m.-12 p.m.

Annual Meeting participants who are also nursing mothers will have access to private, secure, comfortable mothers’ lounges at the San Diego Convention Center. There are two lounges in the Convention Center — one located in B1 and one in Lobby E, both on the ground floor. AACR-Women in Cancer Research is pleased to sponsor this important service.

Professional childcare services, administered by KiddieCorp, will be in Room 13 of the convention center. As a convenience for registrants, the AACR will cover the cost of this service. Snacks and beverages are included, but meals must be provided by parents or guardians. Onsite registration will be permitted as space allows. Advance registration for childcare may still be available.

For lounge and childcare schedules, visit the general information page on AACR’s website.

The AACR advises that anyone who has not already registered and confirmed their hotel do so only at the official, authorized registration site. Beware of unauthorized companies that use deceptive advertising methods to direct users to fraudulent websites purporting to offer housing and registration for the AACR Annual Meeting 2024.
