Welcome to the final day of the AACR Annual Meeting 2023! It has been an educational, enlightening, and inspiring week of captivating cancer science and research, and I’m glad we’ve been able to enjoy it together.

Today’s schedule includes six meet-the-expert sessions, three late-breaking poster sessions, five major symposia, and six “advances” sessions on topics related to diagnostics and therapeutics, organ site research, and prevention research.

The day’s two plenary sessions will end the Annual Meeting on a high note. The morning plenary, New Concepts in Drug Discovery and Engineering, at 8 a.m. ET in W Hall A2-3, will offer insight into the drugs of the future. They will be ready for the clinic sooner than you think!

Then at 12 p.m. ET, I will chair the closing plenary, AACR Annual Meeting 2023 Highlights: Vision for the Future, in the Chapin Theater. I will be joined by Sheila A. Stewart, PhD, Elizabeth A. Platz, ScD, MPH, and Shivaani Kummar, MD, for a look back at the meeting’s highlights and a discussion about what’s next for cancer science and medicine.

In today’s first plenary session, you’ll hear about the drugs of the future. They will be ready for the clinic sooner than you think!

Today is your last chance to visit the exhibit hall, which is open from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. ET. Stop by to see the latest products and services for laboratory and clinical research, and to interact and network with industry representatives and other attendees.

As we participate in our closing sessions of the AACR Annual Meeting 2023, I want to reiterate what an honor and pleasure it has been to serve as the Program Committee Chair for this year’s meeting. I want to thank every member of the Program Committee for assembling an exceptional scientific program, and AACR leadership and staff for their hard work making this meeting a reality. I would also like to thank members of the AACR for their support of the AACR’s mission to prevent and cure all cancers. And thanks to the city of Orlando for its hospitality.

If you missed a session or want to rewatch a session, don’t forget that all of the great sessions can be viewed on the virtual meeting platform by registered meeting participants through July 19, 2023.

And finally, to all of you who participated in this year’s meeting, both in person and virtually, I hope to see you next year at the AACR Annual Meeting 2024, April 5-10, in San Diego, California.
