Plenary Sessions on Opportunities in Predictive Oncology, AACR Annual Meeting takeaways, and more

Welcome to the final day of the AACR Annual Meeting 2025! It’s been an incredible meeting so far, and we have even more in store for today—including two Plenary Sessions to bookend the day and lots of great sessions in between!
Please note that, unlike previous days, today’s Plenary Sessions will take place in the Arie Crown Theater, McCormick Lakeside Center (Level 2).
We kick off at 8 a.m. CT with the Opportunities in Predictive Oncology Plenary Session, where speakers will explore how emerging computational, biological, and clinical methodologies shape our ability to personalize cancer treatment and predict treatment response and resistance.
The final Poster Sessions of the conference will take place from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. CT in the Exhibit Hall. And just a reminder that the Exhibit Hall closes at noon CT today, so make sure to stop by if you haven’t yet!
Plenty of other scientific sessions on a diverse array of topics are on today’s agenda, including:
- the Advances in Early Detection and Interception Session on Lung Cancer Screening: Promises and Pitfalls, supported by The Margaret Foti Foundation;
- the Advances in Hematologic Malignancies Session on Chromothripsis in Hematological Malignancies;
- the Advances in Diagnostics and Therapeutics Session on Neoadjuvant Treatment for Solid Tumors: Why, How, and When?;
- the Advances in Diagnostics and Therapeutics Session on Protein Degraders and Other Targeting Chimeras: Progress to the Clinic;
- the Advances in Prevention Research Session on Interwoven Risks of Exposures and Environments: Mapping the Future of Cancer Prevention;
- the Major Symposium on Ferroptosis: From Breakthroughs to Therapeutic Opportunities in Metabolism, Immunity, and Metastasis (Learn more about the role of ferroptosis in cancer on Cancer Research Catalyst, the official AACR Blog);
- the Major Symposium on Intratumoral Microbiota and Microbiota-Derived Metabolome: Friend or Foe; and
- the Major Symposium on From Cells to Systems: Unraveling the Heterogeneity of Stress-induced Senescence in Cancer.
The day—and this remarkable meeting—will wrap up with the AACR Annual Meeting 2025 Highlights: Vision for the Future Plenary Session, which will begin at 12:10 p.m. CT. During this can’t-miss session, speakers will highlight this unforgettable conference’s key takeaways in basic cancer science and translational research; prevention, early detection, population sciences, and disparities research; and clinical research and clinical trials. It’s a great way to catch up on all the insights reported across the spectrum of cancer research. Trust us—you want to stick around for this!
We hope you’ve enjoyed this meeting as much as we have. It has been an honor to serve as your AACR Annual Meeting program chairs, and we look forward to all the great discoveries you’ll make in the coming year. Safe travels home, and we’ll see you again next year in sunny San Diego for the AACR Annual Meeting 2026!
