Welcome to day three of AACR 2021! Today’s Plenary Session, Probing the Dynamic Tumor-Host Ecosystem for Therapeutic Insights, begins at 10:45 a.m. EDT and will cover several exciting technological advances, including single cell and spatially resolved profiling, enabling unprecedented insights into the clonal evolution of hematologic malignancies and solid tumors, as well as immune contexture through progression and treatment.

Immediately following the Plenary at 12:45 p.m. EDT, AACR President Antoni Ribas, MD, PhD, FAACR, will deliver this year’s Presidential Address: Fighting Melanoma with the Immune System. As he concludes his term as AACR President, I’d like to personally thank Dr. Ribas for his strong and thoughtful leadership over the past year during such difficult circumstances.

Beginning today and continuing through to Thursday, the schedule will include a wide selection of companion Panel Discussions to On Demand sessions. In these live Panel Discussions, the speakers will be on hand to discuss the topics of their sessions and answer questions submitted by attendees who viewed the On Demand program. Following are today’s scheduled Panel Discussions, which will take place concurrently at 10 a.m. EDT, along with links to the companion On Demand sessions.

At 1:30 p.m. EDT this afternoon, Clinical Trials Minisymposium: Disease-Oriented Innovative Clinical Research and Trials and Late-Breaking Minisymposium 2 will feature results from important trials looking at cutting-edge cancer treatments and technologies.

To learn about some of the innovative cancer drugs progressing in the clinic, at 1:30 p.m. EDT, check out the final of this year’s three-part New Drugs on the Horizon series of sessions sponsored by the AACR Chemistry in Cancer Research Working Group (CICR). Part 1 and Part 2 took place on Saturday and are still available for viewing.

Also at 1:30 p.m. EDT, the NextGen Stars Spotlight Session: Immunology and Targeted Therapy will spotlight the work of up-and-coming early career scientists.

Today’s program also includes a special live networking event you won’t want to miss — Meet the Editor-in-Chief of Molecular Cancer Therapeutics: Beverly A. Teicher, PhD — beginning at 3:30 p.m. EDT.

The day concludes with three in-depth Forums exploring hot topics in cancer research: Data Science and Machine Learning: Will They Revolutionize Cancer Cure and Research?, Microbiome Pandemonium: Checkpoints and the Microbiome, and Are Antitumor T Cells Exhausted or Dysfunctional? Does It Matter? all begin at 4 p.m. EDT.

Please do consult the final program for the most up-to-date information. Recordings of both live and on demand sessions will be available for registered attendees to watch until June 21.
