AACR President Philip D. Greenberg, MD, FAACR, and a panel of experts will review tips on how to communicate scientific advances to non-scientists, including the general public, underserved communities, policymakers, patients, and journalists.
A Saturday plenary session on early cancer biology and interception, chaired by Daniel D. De Carvalho, PhD, will be followed by a Sunday session focused on the Annual Meeting’s theme of “Inspiring Science, Fueling Progress, Revolutionizing Care.”
Christine A. Iacobuzio-Donahue, MD, PhD, will chair a Monday, April 8, plenary session on profiling tumor ecosystems in native tissue context. Additional plenary sessions will be held Tuesday and Wednesday.
Since 2014, the AACR has provided high-profile presentation experience and professional development opportunities for early-career scientists through the AACR Annual Meeting.
A record number of clinical trial results were submitted for presentation at the Annual Meeting this year, reflecting the rapid translation of novel treatment strategies from the labs to the clinic, said Clinical Trials Committee Co-Chairs Shivaani Kummar, MBBS, and Ryan B. Corcoran, MD, PhD.
